WHY?
• To encourage all our 7th and 8th Grade confirmands to a life of Christian service
WHO?
• All our 7th and 8th Grade Confirmands, with the approval and support of their parent(s).
WHAT?
• Three (3) service projects per year within your family, neighborhood, and/or church.
• A service project will normally include at least an hour of serving someone.
• A service project is meant to help someone in need within your family, community, and/or church.
• Usual personal household chores (e.g., cleaning my room) do not qualify.
• Serving in worship does not qualify – that is a separate expectation of the Confirmation year.
WHERE AND WHEN?
• At your choosing! There is no planned or set time for your service projects.
• Examples may include raking leaves for grandparents, cleaning yards or garages for neighbors, preparing meals for the sick, visiting people in nursing homes, participating in service opportunities provided through Hope, etc.
