Yes! Our program is licensed by the State of Wisconsin. A licensing consultant visits our center 1-2 times per year to make sure we are following all of the licensing requirements.
No. Our program begins the first or second week of September and ends the third or fourth week of May. We follow the calendar of the Unified School District of De Pere for days off throughout the year, with the exception of late start and early dismissal days. We are in session for those days.
No. We welcome all students.
We cap our 3K class at 15 students and our 4K class at 18 students creating a 1/9 teacher/student ratio. This ratio is smaller than the state requirement of 1/10.
We have a state-of-the-art security system here at Hope Lutheran Church so you can be sure your child is safe in our facility. The doors to our preschool wing are locked while school is in session. We also have security cameras throughout the facility.
We do not provide transportation; however, some families have been able to work out carpooling arrangements among themselves.
We do not offer an outdoor large motor time. As a half day program, our morning is packed with academic, fine motor, and social activities. Our classroom and areas of our facility offer some indoor space for movement.
Our teachers are in constant communication with the kindergarten teachers in the district. In fact, we have had the opportunity to teach many of their own children at our preschool. Each year we take the time to visit the kindergarten classrooms and meet with the teachers to make sure that our students are coming in prepared. We have been assured that we have been successful in this effort.
